Barbecued Short Ribs

This amazing recipe is my new go to recipe.  I will make sure that I always have some of this in my freezer.  It is just that fantastic.  It tastes like an upscale barbecue.  I have served it plain with a side of biscuits and coleslaw.  I have also served it as a stew over mashed potatoes and rice and in a sandwich.  Have I mentioned that I love this recipe?  Well, I do.  You so should try it very soon.  Enjoy.

Almond Breakfast Cake

This cake is perfect with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning and then again in the afternoon.  I really loved it.  Although, next time I will put half of the topping in the middle of the batter so it comes out a bit a swirl cake.  There was so much topping it kept falling off which was sad because it was so yummy.  Enjoy.

Chunks of Beef Fricasseed with Fresh Basil and Wine

For some reason this summer the one basil plant I planted ended up growing into 3 huge bushes.  How lucky am I.  (I think it has something to do with the heavy winds).  I LOVE basil and if I don't get to eat it all I will pesto it and freeze it at the end of the season but right now I am trying to work it into everything I cook.  Which is why I was so thrilled to see this recipe.  It uses a whole cup!  My family loved this stew so much that we didn't have any leftovers.   I couldn't believe it!  They all demanded that it be put on the repeater list right away.  Yes, it really was that good.  Enjoy.
