Somedays just require chocolate chips cookies. Today was one of them. My son had dental work done about six months ago and it was apparently done incorrectly. We got this information today along with the fact that it has turn into an infection that need antibotics and a tooth removal next week. I hate that! We trusted someone that should have been trustworthy only to find out that didn't deserve our trust. Needless to say, I am very sad today. This sadness caused me to make these chocolate chip cookies. Of course, my son could not eat anything sugary yet as it would cause him pain but did this stop me.....no. What kind of mother does that right? Don't worry he was asleep and I ate all the evidence before he woke up. I loved these fat, tender cookies. Perfect they were. Now I have the strength to send the bad dentist some really awful energy.

Best Ever Sloppy Joes
My son is my favorite person to cook for ever. He may only be six but he loves all kinds of food...any vegetable, any nationality, any flavor combinations. A joy of cook for. Yet his favorite meal is very six year old approved...sloppy joes. My husband has never been a fan of this dish until I found this recipe on the recipezaar website. Now everyone is happy and it freezes beautifully too.

Chicken and Artichokes in a White Wine Sauce
Yesterday I enjoyed a day to myself. A rarity in my life. Not something I would wish for often but every now and then it can be special. I totally cleaned my house and even made myself this special dinner. That in itself was a treat. Why don't I cook for myself more often? Usually when I am flying solo, I can't be bother so I settle for a sandwich or leftovers. How sad. I pulled out all the stops yesterday with this dish and it felt wonderful. I loved the new recipe (found original recipe on my favorite site http://annies-eats.com/) and the red wine that went perfectly with it. Life is good.
